Who we are
Restwell Retreats ("we", "us", "our") offers accessible holiday accommodation in Whitstable, Kent. This website is published at https://restwellretreats.co.uk/.
The data controller for personal information collected through this site is Homely Housing Investments Ltd t/a Restwell Retreats.
What information we collect and why
When you use our enquiry form we collect your name, email address, phone number, and the message you send. We also keep any stay dates, guest numbers, funding notes, and contact preferences you choose to add. The legal basis is your consent, recorded when you tick the privacy box on the form. If you later book, we also use the same details to perform the contract for your stay.
Care requirements and accessibility needs are optional. Those notes can include health information. We only store them if you tick the separate health-data box. The legal basis for that is your explicit consent (UK GDPR Article 9). You can ask us to delete those notes at any time by emailing us.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share enquiry details with our sister company, Continuity of Care Services (CQC-regulated), unless a stay with optional care is later agreed in writing. Ticking the enquiry form does not share your data with Continuity.
Cookies and analytics
Essential cookies keep the site working (for example, security checks on forms and remembering the cookie choice you make). We do not use advertising cookies.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4, and Metricool if it is configured) are optional. They are not set until you choose Accept analytics on the cookie banner, or later via Cookie settings in the footer. You can reject analytics and still use the site. Analytics scripts stay off until you consent, even if analytics is turned on later.
How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry and booking-related records for up to three years so we can answer follow-up questions and meet regulatory and insurance expectations. Optional care and accessibility notes are kept for a shorter period: 12 months if the enquiry does not become a booking, or 90 days after the stay if it does. You can ask us to delete your data sooner where the law allows.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may: ask what data we hold about you; ask us to correct mistakes; ask us to delete or restrict use of your data in certain cases; object to some processing; withdraw consent (including health-data consent) without affecting the lawfulness of processing before you withdraw; and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) (opens in new tab).
