Optional care

Holidays with care provided, if you want it

Our sister company, Continuity of Care Services, can come into the bungalow while you’re here. Tell us what you need and we’ll check who’s free.

Morning, daytime and overnight help

Tell us what a normal day looks like, and Continuity will plan around it.

  • The level-access wet room, with the shower chair and height-adjustable basin

    Morning

Someone can help you get up, washed and dressed at the time you’d get up at home. The shower chair is already in the wet room.

  • The flat promenade path past the beach huts

    In the day

Someone can come with you along the promenade or into town. They can also cover a few hours, so you and your usual carer get time to yourselves.

  • The twin profiling beds in the accessible bedroom

    Overnight

A carer can sleep in, or stay awake if you need help during the night. That way, everyone gets a proper night’s sleep.

What a support team lead wrote

The setup also works perfectly for support workers. The second bedroom provides a comfortable space for day support, and the adjustable armchair is ideal for a waking night carer, offering great comfort throughout their shift.

Asking for care

Mention it on the same enquiry as the house, and nothing is booked until you say yes.

  1. Mention it when you enquire

Mention it in your first message, even if your dates aren’t fixed yet.

  2. Talk it through

Continuity will ask about the hours and the tasks you need help with.

  3. They quote, you decide

Continuity give you a quote, and nothing is booked until you’re happy with it.

  • The conservatory, with the sofa bed made up as a sofa

    Bringing your own carer

Plenty of guests do. They can have the second double bedroom or the conservatory sofa bed. They can use the hoist and shower chair, and park on the drive.

  • For OTs, case managers and commissioners

Door widths, bed heights, hoist weight limits and LOLER checks are all published. We can send a written quote for the stay, ready for a funding panel. Continuity confirm the care plan and the cost once the hours and tasks are agreed.

Care questions

Questions about care

The questions people ask most before they mention care.

No. Plenty of guests book the house as a self-catering holiday and don’t need any extra support. Care from Continuity is there if you’d like it.
