Restwell is one private adapted bungalow by the sea in Whitstable, Kent, sleeping up to five. It is not a care home or a respite centre. The whole house is yours for the stay. It is single-storey and step-free, with a level-access wet room and a ceiling track hoist. Home care can be added through Continuity of Care Services, our sister company, on the same enquiry.

## The Property
A room-by-room tour of the bungalow: two bedrooms, a level-access wet room, an open living and kitchen space, and French doors onto a level patio and garden. Sleeps five.

## Accessibility
The access statement in measurements: a 965mm clear front door, 926mm internal doorways, a level-access wet room with a tilt-in-space shower commode chair and a height-adjustable basin, a ceiling track hoist rated to 180kg, an electric mobile hoist also rated to 180kg, a profiling bed, a standing aid rated to 185kg, and portable ramps guests can borrow. A second profiling bed can be set up on request.

## How it works
Booking has three steps: enquire with your dates, we confirm the bungalow and take a 50% deposit, then you arrive from 3pm using a key safe. Home care goes on the same enquiry.

## Optional care
Continuity of Care Services provides home care inside the bungalow during a stay, from a morning visit to nurse-led support for complex needs. Continuity is a separate company that invoices the care and holds the CQC rating; Victoria Walker owns Restwell and is Continuity’s registered manager. Restwell provides the accommodation.

## Pricing & dates
A week in the bungalow is £1,300 off-peak and £1,400 in peak season, with all access equipment, linen and parking included. The rate is the same whoever is invoiced.

## Resources
Restwell can invoice a guest, a local authority, the NHS or a grant body at the same rate. Restwell does not promise that any funding package will cover a holiday.

## Whitstable area guide
Tankerton promenade is the level route with a sea view; the harbour beach is shingle and not a wheelchair surface. The guide names which local venues have step-free access and an accessible toilet, and which do not.
